Living with ALS 30 years Plus

Hi, I am a victim of ALS. I was diagnosed in April of 1976 at the age of 34.It took Neurologist 9 months of many neurological test to diagnose ALS The onset began with me falling, dropping things and muscle spasms and twitching.
I had to be trached in1981 because my lungs filled with fluid and I was drowning in my own fluid. Then I went into respiratory failure in’86 and was placed on ventilator.

Hi, I read your post and was touched by it. I have one or two symptoms that many people with als have but not others. the symptoms i have i've had for a very long time though.

My doctor wants to do a brain mri and all of this stuff and I'm rather nervous about it.
