Symptons for 2 wks

Post a new topicby keith39 on Sat Oct 27, 2007 5:09 am

Hello. I have been having problems with my speech for 2wks. it is intermittent, i just have a hard time getting the words out at times. After i start to speak it goes away and it is fine. I have also on 2 occasions experienced weakness in both arms with difficulty picking things up. it lasted for less than 5 minutes each tim.I was just wondering if these symptoms could be attributed to another condition. Could Als symptoms be intermittent? I am very concerned, any info would be appreciated. Thankyou

Since I am not a doctor, I must advise you to seek the help of a neurologist. ALS, as I am told, exhibits many symptoms, some very vague, others quite pronounced. Before you work yourself up into a frenzie, you really should make an appointment with a doctor. There are MANY neuropathy's that mimic ALS symptoms (some manageable and not as devastating) so for your peace of mind, I'd see someone ASAP.
