Need some feedback...

Post a new topicby soccer mom on Wed Apr 02, 2008 6:16 pm

My daughter is 4 years old and was diagnosed with autism just before she was 3. She doesn't speak. Recently, a segregated intense 40 hour a week applied behavior analysis program was recommended by our behavior therapist. The program is offered at a special school and would be supplemented by therapy at home. We are concerned about the costs, and the disruption of family life. Can anyone offer some strategies as to how we can let our child live a "normal" life and be fully included just like other children? Thank you!

Hi
If I were you I would contact The Autism Society of America and Autism Speaks thay are both on the web. You should be eligible Thrue something like DDA Devlopmental Disabilities Administration That the State of Maryland has. Also check on SSI or thru the Atism Waiver Programs. You can get all the Answers to these questions and more thru the web sites I have mentiond.

I hope this will help you
Neal
