Yep, I know it is miserable. Hang in there, I believe the meds shorten the length of bp. I hear of people without meds and sometimes their bp is still here, years after... so yeah your doing what you need to do. Stay away from stress, get lots of sleep, you need your sleep, thats the best, right now, your a month into it, and I know its hell, but it is usually temporary. Hold on to that thought, and wait it out.

A cat scan can be helpful if you can get one, it may show the root of the problem, usually.

I am convinced bp is a mini stroke - well it was for me, it affested everything and threw me completely off balance- hearing, eye, headaches, pain, numb, balance, twitching, couldnt sleep, hard to eat, couldnt drive mine was that bad... bp a mini stroke for me.

Hi there. I've been dealing with BP since 8/6. My face also hurt very much. A week later a had terrible pain under my jaw. I thought I'd pulled a muscle trying to eat a hotdog a couple of days before. As you know, it's hard to open your mouth so that's what I thought. Well, I went back to the doctor and he said all of my lymph nodes were swollen so in addition to the Prednisone I was already taking, he put me on a very strong antibiotic. After just a couple of days, that pain went away but my face is still a little tender... especially at the end of the day. I think it's just sore from trying so hard to work. That's my opinion anyway. I try to massage and rub my face often. When I smile, I "help" the left side of my face smile. I do other excersizes and help my face work like it should. I'm going to the chiropractor this afternoon to see if he thinks he can help at all. What scares me most is I'm still have nerve pain at the back of my head. I'm afraid the BP won't go away until THAT goes away. Good luck and let me know how you're doing.

HI, I ALSO WOKE UP WITH BP. I HAD VERY LITTLE PAIN UNTIL THE NEXT DAY OR TWO. IT HAS BEEN 2 WKS NOW AND THE PAIN COME AND GOES. SOMETIMES VERY STRONG. MY JAW IS STIFF FEELING ALL THE TIME. THE WHOLE LEFT SIDE WON'T MOVE. MY EYE IS STARTING TO CLOSE WHEN I AM LAYING DOWN BUT IS OPEN WHEN UP. I FIND MYSELF VERY NERVOUS AND TIRED. NOT MANY THING I READ MENTION HOW TIRED IT MAKES YOU. I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF IT IS NORMAL. THE INSIDE OF MY LEFT EAR WHEN EXAMINED IS VERY PAINFUL. THE REST OF THE SIDE FEELS LIKE I HAVE A SUNBURN WHEN YOU TOUCH IT. I FIND MY EYESIGHT IS NOT VERY GOOD BUT IT DOES CLEAR UP NOW AND THEN. IT IS PAST THE 2 WKS SO I GUESS IT WILL TAKE ME LONGER. I HEAR THE PEOPLE WITH THE PAIN BEHIND THE EAR USUALLY DO. HOPE YOU RECOVER SOON. MZC
