i had surgery to correct my carpal tunnel in march of 2007, it is now august, 5 months after and i dont wake up at night anymore but my three fingers are always numb, my doc said it could take up to a year for the feeling to come back, but i have now noticed a pain right below my shoulder and every once in a while have this odd tingling sensation that shoots up my arm, my left arm. anyone have this kind of experience?...Read the full article

i read your story about carpal tunnel, i have just been told i have carpal tunnel in both hands after suffering for 10 years with tingling and loss of feeling etc etc... i dont think this will be much help but i just wanted to let you know that i get pain just under my left shoulder blade it happens randomally and the pain can last for days, dont know if it has any thing to do with carpal tunnel but i have to see a neuroligist soon and i will mention it to them and see what they have to say, also my friend had c.t in both hands and it did take her over a year to get her hands back to normal, even now she still has a slight weakening of her hands, it has been 1 and a half years since her operation!!! i probably havnt been much help but i just wanted to share this with you, good luck, hope our recovery is a quicker one!! from susan jane
