My entire life and familyI was diagnosed with CMT at the age of 10. My Mom and Aunt always had a strange walking gait. They said noone ever gave them a “name”. I had my first surgery when I was 11 to extend my tendons in my right foot. I never could run well. But I was always active!

Re: My entire life and familyi also have cmt but i was never really diagnosed with it i just always knew i had it. My mother and 2 brothers also have it.
I had 1 tendon release when was 18 months, it worked for a while but then it just stopped working and i started walking on my toes again. im 14 now and im having another opperation in about a months time. its jusut nice to no that other people have cmt too and your not the only one.
