other symptoms associated with cmt

Post a new topicby annie7 on Mon Nov 12, 2007 4:16 pm

I have CMT - and for the last 16 years I have been struggling with a skin disorder which is like Erethema Nodosum. The doctors are now thinking it is connected to my CMT and are baffled by it. I have nodules (welts) all different sizes from pea size to grape fruit size. The larger they are I become very ill with flu like symptoms, fever, chills, aches. The welts last from two days to 14 days depending on size. Is this familiar to anyone?

Dear Annie,
I also have CMT and I also have had erythema nodosum-like knots that swell and hurt and burn on my lower legs and feet for about the last 18 months. My family physician, a dermatologist and a physiatrist all thought it was EN. They have tested me for all the underlying causes and so far nothing. Did you ever get an answer or relief?
