Left Side PainHi, I am a 36 year old male. I have been dealing with "pain" in the left side of my body for a couple of years now. I say pain, but often times it's just a sensation which is very hard to put into words. Sometimes it feels more like a dull ache, other times it seems more like weakness, but it's always present. Occasionally there is minor "tingling", not always though. It is felt from the top of my head, through my face and around my ear/jaw, down into my arm and leg. Again, only on the left side. Often it is more pronounced in my foot than anywhere else; i can actually feel it throbbing there sometimes.
I had an MRI about a year ago which showed no abnormalities whatsoever. I have just seen the neurologist again and I am scheduled for some kind of test which involves electricity and needles (EMG?) to try and determine what it is. In the meantime, he has prescribed me Lyrica which seems to help with the pain aspect though I still have a "feeling" on the left side. I do not want to be medicated, I want to try and determine what the problem is and correct it, if possible. This issue has become all-consuming and is causing me great anxiety (which seems to aggrivate the issue). I would be greatly appreciate any insight as to what this could be. Thank you, -Scott
Re: Left Side PainScott,
I have been having the same type of pain on my left side of my body. My calf is where the most pain is. It even affects my sinuses on the left side. I have a doctor appt tomorrow but I wanted to find out if you ever found anything out about your pain and what they did for it? Thanks Janet
