Coma

Post a new topicby BKVW on Sun Dec 23, 2007 9:30 pm

My Son-in-law's mother is in a sudden unexplainable coma. About 10-days ago she was experiencing severe abdominal pain which sent her to the ER. Long story, shortened, she ended up in ER a second time 1-week ago & went into a coma & had to be put on a respirator during that very night post B/P bottoming out & she stopped breathing. Her symptoms: bowel obstruction in which they did a successful "clean" surgery for. However, she is still on a respirator & the Dr.'s told her family today that she is in a coma. They are doing all kinds of tests but are not coming up with a reason. Prior to her surgery, she was having difficulty breathing which her family attributed to the pain she was having. Any comments will be appreciated. I have read all the information on this health channel that has been provided.
