DAUGHTERMY MOTHER HAS DEMENTIA, I DO NOT THINK IS ALZHEIMERS, SHE HAS MINI STROKES IN THE BRAIN AND SHE IS THE 5 SYBLING TO HAVE THE SYMPTOMS. 3 OF THEM WERE/ARE IN NURSING HOMES SO WE CAN NOT CHECK IF THEY HAVE THE SAME SYMPTOMS BUT HER OLDER BROTHER, A PHYSICIAN, WAS ALSO CARED AT HOME. BETWEEN COUSINS WE HAVE DISCUSSED THE DAILY PROBLEMS AND LOOKS LIKE THEY HAVE SIMILAR BEHAVIORS.

My mother has recently developed a strong case of dementia, and I can relate to what you are going through. Although not as bad as what you are going through yet, I can see where the disease leads. It is very hard to see the one you love so much suffering. My mother just also got over cancer, and now she's developed this. My recommendations are the following, in addition to drugs a pet or small dog or bird music therapy, does she have music she used to listen to a music instrument, such as a recorder, or hand drum music she can listen to walks in nature crossword puzzles, etc math games, and math books to keep her brain active and mind occupied Best of luck, Maureen
