Dementia

We have been told our Mother has early dementia. It seems that my Mother always feels the need to
start a fuss and problem among her children when she wants to take a trip to visit her different children and when she is ready to go home again she causes a big hassle. It also seems that I am the one she unloads on when she seems to go off the deep end. My husband and I have taken care of my Mother since my Father died 9 yrs ago. My Mother can be fine now and all of a sudden be irritated,angry,and unreasonable and extremely aggitated in the blink of an eye.
I am at a loss and don't know what to do at times so I just let her do her own thing.
What is to be expected next if this is the early signs of dementia?
