To Neurologist- You are right- I apologizeNeurologist:Title: Re: Dementia or stress?
Post: I know you have posted questions before, and i feel badly you have gone throuh a great deal. It is possible that in the setting of multile demyelianting leesions, and the presumed strokes you hvae had that you have some cognitive difficulties. THese may be very subtle, and not picked up by your doctors on a routine exam, and may not be noticed by others. I would not convince yourself that you hve "dementia".Lets hope that the combintaion of medications you are using will halt the coursew of your illnesses. Neuropsychological testing can sometimes be helpfuyl in picking up subtle problems; it can also lead to approaches to improve memory, focus etc. Stress can play a huge role. You may consider seeing a psychologist/psychiatrist in evaluation to deal with the stressor. Good luck. Sarah's response: Title: Re: Re: Dementia or stress? Post: You are absolutely right. I have asked this question too many times. I'm not sure why, but this aspect is so frightening. Thank you for taking the time to answer and I promise not to ask again. I know that you have many questions to answer and my repetition is taking up valuable time and space. I sincerely apologize. I think that you are also right about seeking some professional help in dealing with this. I might do that. Thanks, Sarah
