Is this enchephalitis?

Post a new topicby simbah on Wed Apr 30, 2008 10:18 pm

Hi....I was just told hat I have viral enephalitis after going through a battery of tests. Doc thought I had a stroke or MS but I have been cleared of that.
I started getting severe headaches, off balance (almost fall when I do the heel to toe exam), tounge listing to the left, concentration is shot, short temper, low grade fever, numbness and tingling in arms, etc.
My nurse practitioner, who is great, came to this conclusion after my MRI showed non-specific white spots and the radioligist told her it could be a sign of something viral.
Does this add up to viral encephalitis? I was told to take it easy for 2 weeks, push fluids, eat healthy and rest. Obviously I am a little nervous!
Thanks for any and all replies!
