Tremors in my life.I started having right hand tremors about 10 years ago now. They have gradually progressed to where now I am getting them in my other hand and my head too. Re: Tremors in my life.hi jean - I am a 38 year old woman who was recently diagnosed with Essential Tremor. It came on quickly, I first noticed it on my honeymoon. Both my hands shake incredibly, my right much worse than my left though. I went through a lot of various testing. The doctor first prescribed propanolol, but that did not help at all. He put me on primidone about a month ago...that has helped, but it only reduces the tremors about 50%. Can I ask you how much it has progressed in you over the last 10 years? My doctor seems "fairly certain" that it is not Parkinsons, for which I am grateful, but it's pretty aggressive right now at the age of 38, what's going to happen over the next 10...20 years??? Any advice you could give me I would appreciate!
