inward trembling

Post a new topicby Guest on Wed Jul 17, 2002 3:45 pm

I am 45 years old. A few months ago I developed an "inside" tremor. It is most notable at rest. My body parts do not shake, but inside my arms and hands, mostly, I feel as if I am shaking. What is this? What can I do for relief?

hi guys
I too have these symptoms, I found support and some answers at:

http://neuro-mancer.mgh.harvard.edu/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi

This condition was initially diagnosed by my Doctor as early parkinsons and then essential tremor. It isn't either, it's an internal trmor/buzzing (most acute when I'm really relaxed).
I have it daily. It's like walking about with a refrigerator motor strapped to your back ;)
I'm 38 and developed this when I was 35.

Good luck with finding answers

Thank you so much for your message..Im just looking for answers. I would love to be able to take a short nap when tired, just one more time. It has been 18mos. The tremors are driving me crazy. No Doctor understand or can treat this. I hope it goes away just like it came. quick! Thank you so much. Please remember me. If you come up with anymore answers please post it and email me. Hey, I too often have this feeling although it us usually upon waking from an afternoon nap (exhaustion frequently) and often associated with waking with apparent loud noise. Never heard of anyone before describing "internal tremors", doctors don't know what you mean at all. You have to experience them to appreciate them..... reminds me of a 'bugs bunny cartoon ..... coyote having eaten the earthquake pills, but continuous instead of bursts!

Is this is what it is like for you... I often feel as though something sweet may fix the problem and head for the pantry and fridge!

Inward trembling

Post a new topicby Guest on Thu Sep 26, 2002 2:17 pm

I also have this!!! I thought I was going crazy because no one seemed to know what I meant! I have been having major hot episodes where I feel as though I am sweating inside (does that make any sense?) when everyone else at work is cold and in sweaters. I also have some tremor periodically in my right hand and starting 9-23-02 I had intense vertigo (falling down for two days) and now (on 9-26-02) just feel really weird!! Anyone have any suggestions?? I had a CT on 9-24-02 but don't have results yet and bloodwork looked fine. My uncle has Parkinson's so I'm a little worried about that but don't know if I am overreacting. by the way -I am a 34 year old female! Thank you!!

Hi, Elizabeth.

Overreacting? Not at all. Those of us who have this internal trembling know EXACTLY how you feel. Sometimes I feel like everyone thinks I am crazy. I am not...

The neurologist I saw asked me if it "changed my life". If so he would prescribe some drug...just to passify me. I have not taken any drug for this...I do not just want to cover it up and start a new problem. I am trying to get healthy...lose some weight, eat better and exercise...the old fashioned way to better health.

Good luck to you and all who responded to my questions. If I find any miracles, I will be back!

Hi! Haven't heard from you in a while. I was wondering how the tremors are doing? Have you found any help? I havent. My tremors are at their worse when I try to go to sleep. I sure wish I could find help. So far we havent found any antidepressants that I can take or I would take them. They give me headaches, keep me away and/or kill any sexual drive I may have. What do I do? I would like to hear from you or anyone on this matter.....B
