Essential Tremor

I have the tremor in my right hand. I have been a body builder for the past 38 years, I'm 50 now. I have noticed a distinct weakness in my right arm and have developed a loss of control of certain movements in my right arm. Such as when I wash my hair and try to dry my hair. Has anyone else expierianced this type of movement limitatin too? Thanks

I notice when I lift my arms that they tremble...is this similar to what you are talking about...not all the time, but especially late at nite.

After I was diagnosed with ET I lost the strength in both arms and hands. I couldn't open a bottle of soda, or even get the cap off the toothpaste. It took my about a year but I built my strength up with 2 and 3 lb weights. Everyday for a year I started out with the 2lb and gradually worked my way to the 3lb and after a year of that I regained the strength in both my arms. I may have to return to them because I have been noticing a weakness again. But believe me it helps.

I was workign out with hand weights until of all things I have started developign arthritus..ugggggg..what next..lol...

With ET you don't think anything else can go wrong with your health but as we get older other things start to develop. It's not fair but that's how life goes somethimes.

AINT IT THE TRUTH GIRL!!!!...My Dr. now has me going to pool therepy 2 times a week to help my joints...I do believe that ET is enough to handle thank you very much..lol
