Bladder control-Please help!

Post a new topicby Jack-o- lantern on Tue Feb 26, 2008 1:16 pm

I have gone from not being able to void myself at all and having to self cath,to now going involuntarily and having no control of my bladder. Does is anyone know if this is a natural progression of the return of this function of our body? Please Help!

I had similar problems voiding both bowels and bladder when my GBS was at its worst, it got better fairly rapidly once treatment was started but I did have continued urinary incontinence for a while after that. Mine has completely resolved and I have no problem controlling my bladder now. It may take some time but your control will come back. Progress can be very slow with GBS but it does happen. Keep the faith, your body just needs to have time to heal.

Thank you so much, I can't tell you how glad I am to hear that. It's so very frustrating right now and I don't even want to mention what I'm going through with that matter. Its just crazy. Thanks again for the encouragement.
